The Edensville High Series

by J&M IRWIN

Jackie has been writing since she was a young girl. Historical fact/fiction being her favorite. Her parents were Civil War buffs, hunting for relics where they lived in the middle Tennessee area. "They would bring home and share their findings with me. I'd get to help clean them and inspect them, it was so cool to touch something someone had lost over a 100 years ago and to be the first (or second) since then to even see it let alone touch it! It opened my imagination urging me to wonder, "Who dropped this? What was their story?"

Jackie's first published book was a self help book in 2004 called Shelved: Waiting on God Waiting on You  Tate Publishing House. It's a book that encouraged believers to not get discouraged and think that God had forgotten them during the inactive times in their lives. In Shelved she encourages you to know that while you may be waiting on God, He might just be waiting on you to get into the place where He can utilize your gifts.

Jackie has also written many short stories and children's stories. One series based on the Fruits of the Spirit and the adventures of a set of twins as they learn them; but the Edensville High Series has been her heart for over ten years. Finally, along with her best friend and husband Mike, the two have set storyline to paper (or computer) so to speak. "Somedays I feel I'm writing as fast as I can take dictation from Holy Spirit!" she says. "But it sure is awesome to write something then go back and actually think, 'Wow God that was definitely from You'."

Jackie has a passion for Biblical Hebrew, is a teacher, minister, speaker and vocalist. She has two exceptionally gifted grown children and is now a Grannah for the first time to a beautiful granddaughter she calls Lovey. She hopes to instill in her Lovey the importance of God being first, then introduce her to the adventure, imagination and creativity writing can certainly bring.
